We are Jennifer Lynne Walker & Associates, and we are
Here for You
Our Mission
Our goal is to welcome children in the midst of their learning, growing & feeling. We love those big feelings & messy moments . In quiet connections made through play and interactive sessions in the office, children & families can shift their patterns of reaction to response. In growing a child's emotional intelligence and teaching a family about co-regulation - it is our privilege to support the growth of strong and healthy families. As we connect with parents and explore family patterns & belief structures - it is our responsibility to support growth, learning and wellness in caregivers. When parents or children feel they are at their worst, it is our work to teach, to extend support, to build rapport and create connection within the family.
Meet Our Team
Allysa Pappas BSW, MSW
Welcome! My name is Allysa and I am a Registered Social Worker (BSW, MSW) who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and families, through evidence-based practice. As a parent myself, I understand the notion of wanting to do what is best for our children during the challenges life throws our way.
Positioned from an attachment-based framework, I strive to create a judgment-free environment where we can work together to support big emotions, build on resilience, and develop coping strategies, through play and mindfulness. My aim is to provide skills and tools that enhance emotional regulation, and cultivate self-confidence.
Having over a decade of experience working in the social services field I understand the difficult and complex nature of living within our educational, judicial, and various social systems, and the impacts they have on us. With a love of nature and animals I have pursued further training in Animal Assisted Play Therapy with hopes of integrating animals into my future practice.
Jennifer Walker MSW RSW
As a Child & Family Therapist, my goal is to extend authentic & empathic support to children and their families. It is my heart’s work to connect with children in their toughest moments & biggest feelings. My non-directive & child centered, curious approach builds connections, grows wellness and supports family growth, often through play.
My play based approach, and focus on emotional intelligence, allows children to explore the full range of their feelings in a safe and supportive setting.
I am especially interested and skilled in supporting children and their families as they navigate the challenges associated with divorce & separation, loss & blended families. Another part of my practice focuses on supporting co-parenting dynamics, sibling connections and parent-child communication.
It is truly my dream job to support children & their families as they explore & experience their life transitions, developmental milestones, their environments, their relationships & ALL the emotions that come along for the ride.

Caroline O'Brien MSW
I’m a second year Master of Social Work student at Wilfrid Laurier University and have a Bachelor of Education from Brock University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph. With over a decade of experience supporting the social and emotional health of children and youth, I have worked in a variety of settings including non-profit organizations and as a classroom teacher and Special Education Resource Teacher (SERT) in elementary and secondary schools.
I’m interested and skilled in supporting the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents within the context of their home and school environments. I utilize a non-directive, child-centered, strengths-based approach, drawing on techniques from a variety of therapeutic modalities to support children and adolescents experiencing challenges with ADHD, anxiety, school-refusal, self-esteem and self-confidence, emotional self-regulation, and life's transitions. It's my heart’s work to create a safe and supportive space for children and adolescents to explore their feelings and enhance their emotional intelligence. I'm also experienced in supporting neurodiverse children and their parent(s) / guardian(s) understand the IEP and IPRC processes and special education services.
I’m deeply passionate about the therapeutic benefit of animals that can calm our nervous system and increase our body’s production of dopamine and oxytocin, increasing feelings of comfort and connection. As such, I’m pleased to offer animal-assisted interventions for children and youth with my temperament-tested therapy dog, Gus.
It is truly a privilege to walk alongside families as they experience life’s ebbs and flows and the range of emotions that accompany such changes, challenges, and celebrations.
